
Body Type Herbs
Once you have determined your
body type
there are many herbs and supplements available that
are beneficial for all body types and some that
are ideal for specific body types. It's also
important to maintain a balanced diet to provide your
body with the nourishment it requires, such as dietary
fiber, protein, nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
The following herbs are beneficial for all four body
types: licorice root, lemon bioflavonoids, asparagus
powder, alfalfa, parsley, kelp plant, black walnut
hulls, thyme, parthenium root, schizandra fruit,
Siberian ginseng root,
dong quai root, dandelion root, uva ursi
leaf, brindall berry extract, marshmallow root and chamomile.
The following are herbs beneficial for the specific
body types:
- Type A (Adrenal): sage leaf and ginger root
- Type G (Gonadal): horsetail, bonset herb and blessed
thistle
- Type P (Pituitary): fenugreek seed, mullein
leaf and saw palmetto
- Type T (Thyroid): cornsilk, hydrangea root and plantain root.
